Born Kellie Dawn Pickler in June 28, 1986 Pickler experienced a turbulent childhood. When she was only two, her mother left her to escape from an abusive marriage. Pickler's mother returned in 1995 to her life and took the full custody. It was, however, not a good encounter. Pickler was then 12 years old and was remanded to her parents by the court. They took care of her until she reached adulthood. With the loss of her parents, Pickler was too busy caring for her kids. Pickler admitted that she was no longer able to read and began learning how to become a housekeeper in her early years. Pickler was a cheerleader in the middle and high school she attended. Pickler graduated in 2004 from North Stanly High School. Pickler was also a tryer at being a beauty queen. The title she was given was Miss Stanly.
