Her childhood was a turbulent one. She was just two when her mother abandoned her to escape from her abusive husband. She came back into the life of Pickler in 1995, and was given custody of her. It didn't go according to planned. Pickler aged 12 was remanded to her parents through the justices. They raised her till she was old enough to be an adult. Pickler was busy with raising her young children in absence of her parents. Pickler said she didn't have time for studies, she started learning how to cook and clean at an early stage. Pickler took part in cheerleading squads of both her middle and high school. North Stanly High School, where she graduated in 2004, was her alma mater.
