Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw also known by her stage name Elizabeth Alice MacGraw has been a model, actor and advocate for animal rights in the United States. Her films include Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) as well as The Getaway ( 1972). The daughter of a family of artists living in New York she wished to work in the field of arts. She began working as a photographer's assistant, and after that she moved on to modeling and acting. In her first two films her name was acknowledged and was awarded the Golden Globe Award as Most promising young actress. MacGraw became an international superstar after her film Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as an award from the Golden Globe. Within three years, she had been voted as the number one female box-office starter in the world. Her handprints as well as her signature were inscribed at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. She also appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, along with other films. The autobiography of MacGraw Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw is married three times.
